The closure of Mo’ HIts label resulted into a lot of things including the split of the label acts. While Don Jazzy gained the support of the trio of Wande Coal, Dr SID and D’Prince, D’banj was left with his brother, K Switch, hype man Special Ed and rapper, Ikechukwu who was a major affiliate

But both acts have remained close, especially following the Mo’Hits brouhaha. Apart from Naeto C, who is one of D’Banj’s closest friends, Ikechukwu we’re told, is one of the few other D’banj colleagues ‘in whom he’s well pleased’.

 He was present when D’banj made his first post Mo Hits split performance on Friday June 8, 2012, during the Benin leg of Star Trek, which also marked D’banj’s 32nd birthday. And he’s since joined him for many other gigs here and abroad.

Cynthia's murder: court grants two suspects bail, remands driver

A Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday Wednesday Sept 26th granted bail to two suspects arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Cynthia Osokogu. But  the driver who was accused of driving the prime suspect to Cosmilla Hotel, FESTAC, was remanded in prison custody.

The suspects granted bail – Nonso Ezike (22), who is the younger brother to Olisaeloka, one of the alleged killers, and Ezeaka Chinonso (27) – were arrested by policemen at Area E for receiving and selling Cynthia’s BlackBerry phone.

Nonso’s lawyer, Mr. J. C Ngobili, told the court that the accused was a student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and prayed the court to grant him bail in liberal terms.

PHB Ex Boss, Atuche Paid N45m To Church As Tithes From Stolen Money

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused a former managing director of Bank PHB, Mr Francis Atuche, of using depositors’ funds to pay N45 million in church tithes.

The money paid to two Catholic church branches in Delta State was said to have been transferred from Bank PHB Morgage Limited accounts.

The prosecuting counsel, presented documents in court, some of them e-mails sent as an order to release the sum of N35million to St. Monica Catholic church, Ibusa, Delta State, and another sum of N10million to another St. Augustine Catholic Church. Ogunsola told the court that Atuche sent the money to the two churches in Delta State because he hails from the state.

 A middle-aged man identified as Oladimeji Fowowe has been arrested by the police at Iju police station Station Red House, Lagos, for allegedly setting his wife on fire, when he threw a burning stove and hot water on her.

Ugochukwu Ozuah Was Shot Dead 5days After His Wedding

Controversy weekend, trailed the killing of a 36-year-old engineer last Thursday on Oworoshoki Expressway, following accusation by an eye witness that he was allegedly shot by a policeman.
But in a swift reaction, the Lagos State Police Command said the deceased, Ugochukwu Ozuah, was shot by armed robbers.

Yesterday, Punch Newspaper's Crime Digest reported that the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2 has ordered the arrest of teenage singer David 'Davido' Adeleke.

Fresh facts emerged that the woman who gave birth to a horse-like creature during a prayer session at the World Liberation Ministry, Evuoriaria Community, off Benin-Sapele Road, Benin City, Edo State on Tuesday, got married 11 years ago without a child.

The facts came to the fore as members of the ministry, who witnessed the delivery of the strange creature, gave details of who the woman was and how she gave birth inside the church’s auditorium on Tuesday.
An eyewitness, Mrs. Veronica Egiebor, a nurse, disclosed that the woman was a vegetable seller for more than 10 years, adding that she sponsored her boyfriend through his university education with the profits she made from the business. But when it was time for her and the boyfriend to come together in marriage, the boy’s mother allegedly turned the table around. So, the relationship broke up.

Toronto Sun Newspaper has just reported the case of two Nigerians who are faced with deportation challenged over ignorance.
These teenagers, two University of Regina students, from Nigeria have been hiding in a church for months to avoid deportation for unwittingly working at Walmart without the proper permits.

Ihuoma Amadi, 21, and Victoria Ordu, 20, have attended the school for three years on a scholarship. Last year, the pair worked at the store for two weeks, but according to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, international students can't be employed off campus without a work permit.

Woman Gives Birth To Horse In Benin-City

A yet-to-be identified woman in Benin, Edo State reportedly gave birth to a foal (horse-like) creature yesterday, Tuesday, September 11, 2012. The incident was said to have occurred in one of the prophecy programmes of the World Liberation Ministry located on the old Benin-Sapele road, Benin.

We learnt that the bizarre occurrence left both the church's pastor, Evangelist Silva Wealth and his members soaked in confusion.

We gathered that during the prophecy service, the woman started screaming while blood was coming out of her private part. This now led to the horse-like creature emerge from her private part, which reportedly died afterwards.

Elders at the church's host community have reportedly launched an investigation into the incident.
