EFCC Arrests 20 Internet Fraudsters In Benin

Press statement from EFCC...

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested twenty suspected internet fraudsters. The arrest which was carried out in a joint operation with officers of the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Benin, followed intelligence report on their activities. They were nabbed in a surprise raid on their Cyber office tucked in an old building located on Siluko Road, Benin City.

At the point of arrest, the fraudsters had in their possession forty five (45) laptops of different make, twenty eight (28) telephone sets, eight (cool internet mobile modems and one Nissan car with registration number USL 375 AG.

‘Tiwa Savage Hasn’t Married Her Manager’ – Rep Dispels Rumours

Over the weekend, rumours surfaced suggesting that R&B-Pop singer Tiwa Savage and her boyfriend/manager Tunji ‘Tee Billz’ Balogun had secretly gotten married.

A rep for the singer has however denied it, telling us the news is ‘100 per cent NOT true‘.

Reports have it  that Tee Billz was in Benin, last Saturday, with D’Prince another artiste he manages. The Mavin Records act was having an album launch party for his recent debut ‘FRENZY‘. Tee Billz however did not pick our calls or return missed calls.

Kris Humphries Prolonging Divorce With Kim Kardashain

Since Kanye West announced that Kim Kardashian is pregnant with his baby, estranged husband Kris Humphries has reportedly been telling his friends that he’s “got all the power” now.
“He brags to everyone that he has that power. He’s said it a million times,” a source close to Kris tells New York Daily News. 

“They can’t go to court until his basketball season is over, so he tells people that he is in control of her misery. When he found out about the baby, he was bragging to all of his friends that he wasn’t going to ‘allow’ her to be divorced when she had the baby. He intends to tell his attorney when they set a trial date next month that he can’t do it until late summer. It’s all planned and calculated,” the source adds.

Nigerian Student In India, Kevin Lakoju Commits Suicide

According to The Times of India, a 28-year-old Nigerian student allegedly committed suicide after jumping off the second floor of his rented accommodation in Sector 41. Police said preliminary probe suggests that the deceased, Kelvin Lakoju, aka ‘Biggie’ was in depression
.

Kelvin had been living in Noida since 2009 and was pursuing a photography course from an institute in Film City. Cops said he jumped off around 11pm on Wednesday January 2nd.
“We have questioned some people and came to know that he was upset for some reasons,” said deputy SP, S Chinappa.

60 Crushed To Death In NYE Ivory Coast Stampede Including 26 Children (PHOTOS)

Heartbreaking news came out of the Ivory Coast yesterday morning as it was reported that 60 people were crushed to death following a stampede that took place at a fireworks display. The 60 dead included 26 children, 28 women and six men.

The stampede took place near Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium where crowd had gathered to watch fireworks and according to reports by Reuters, one of the injured said the stampede began when security forces arrived to break up the crowd, triggering a mass rush and panic causing many to fall over and be trampled to death.
